Develop and maintain relationships with electrical consultants, architects, and designers to secure product specifications. Provide technical support, conduct presentations and demonstrations, collaborate with marketing/sales and product teams, prepare specifications and proposals, attend industry events, and track client interactions to expand market presence.
As an Engineer in the Specification department, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by engaging with industry professionals. Your primary focus will be to establish and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders, ensuring our brand and products are specified in their projects. You will be a vital link between our company and the industry, representing our innovative electrical and digital systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with electrical consultants, architects, and designers to promote NEDS' brand and solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights to the team.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop effective strategies for brand promotion and product specification.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our products to potential clients, highlighting their unique features and benefits.
- Provide technical support and guidance to consultants and designers, ensuring a smooth integration of our solutions into their projects.
- Work closely with the product development team to gather feedback and suggestions for product enhancements.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, specifications, and technical documentation as required by clients.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent NEDS and network with potential partners.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and specifications for future reference.
- Continuously seek opportunities to expand NEDS' market presence and increase brand awareness.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the electrical or digital systems industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with confidence in delivering technical information.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools for proposal and specification development.
