Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team in driving IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) based implementation and migration projects end to end. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex implementation and migration projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of IBM BAW solutions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  • Oversee the tasks related to the migration of IBM BAW from older versions to the latest version, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop high-level and low-level design documents for BAW applications.
  • Oversee the Implementation of Business Process Designs (BPDs), Coaches/UI, Human Tasks, System Tasks, and Toolkits within the BAW platform.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment of BAW applications.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with BAW migration and implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors for integration and support.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5+ years in managing IBM Business Automation Workflow based projects.
  • Familiarity with different SDLC methodologies and project management tools.
  • Proven experience in driving migration projects concerning IBM BAW from older versions to the latest version.
  • Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and various JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Dojo, React, Angular).
  • Familiarity with database management and RDBMS concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Good to have experience with leading and managing any BPM based projects using any popular BPM products such as – IBM BPM, PEGA, Appian, or Camunda etc.
