Job Summary
We are seeking an Enterprise Data Architect who is deeply passionate about the craft of data architecture and building well-structured, scalable data systems. This role will define the architecture and modeling standards for AmeriLife’s modern enterprise data platform built on Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data relationships, enterprise data modeling, and source-to-target data mapping, with the ability to translate complex business processes into scalable and high-performing data models that support analytics, AI, and operational systems.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise data architecture for the modern data platform
- Design scalable data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI workloads
- Lead data mapping initiatives between source systems and target data models
- Design strong data relationships and schema structures
- Implement Data Vault 2.0 modeling frameworks
- Design robust dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas)
- Establish enterprise data modeling, governance, and metadata standards
- Partner closely with data engineering teams to translate architecture into production pipelines
Core Technical Skills
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Strong expertise in data modeling and schema design
- Deep knowledge of Data Vault 2.0
- Strong experience with dimensional modeling
- Experience designing complex data relationships and normalized data models
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, or modern cloud data platforms
Additional Expectations
- Passion for data architecture and modeling
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams
Bonus Qualifications
- Databricks certification
- AWS or Azure cloud certification
- Certified Data Vault 2.0 practitioner
Compensation
- Salary Range: $160,000 to $190,000
- This role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
- Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
