You will be part of a close-knit team of highly skilled individuals who fall under the CFO function of Leapwork. As a Finance Manager, you will be working as part of the Accounting team to deliver best-in-class service to both internal and external stakeholders across our India and Global entities. You will be the key point of contact for all finance, accounting, payroll and operational aspects of our Indian legal entity as well as assisting on elements of our global entities.
As mentioned above, the team is small and close-knit, which means you would need to possess a can-do attitude and be willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
Position Overview:
Leapwork is seeking an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day finance, accounting and statutory compliance activities of our Indian legal entity as well as assisting the Accounting Manager in Europe on other global entities. The successful candidate will manage the finance operations of our Indian legal entity from our office in Gurugram and you will report directly to the Accounting manage based in Europe. You will handle various administrative tasks, day to day accounting and month end close, statutory compliance, collaborate with internal departments including the HR and Legal teams and manage external relationships with vendors, payroll providers and governmental authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes for our Indian legal entity.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) and/or IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of accounting records in accordance with Indian GAAP.
- Maintain a dual ledger on Oracle NetSuite and Tally for our Indian entity.
- Support the accounting team in Europe on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes for other global entities including calculation of prepaid expenses, accruals and fixed asset accounting.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Indian and global entities.
- Supporting the Accounting team on special projects.
2. Compliance
- Stay updated on changes in local tax regulations and oversee tax compliance, including preparing GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
- Liaise with Indian government authorities on various tax and compliance matters.
- Ensure adherence to Indian transfer pricing laws and guidelines.
- Perform payroll processing for our Indian legal entity with the payroll provider.
- Manage relationships with India payroll provider and other vendors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and Legal teams to support various business initiatives.
- Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring smooth audits.
3.Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure operational needs are met for the Indian entity.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and Chartered Accountant.
- 10-15 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably big four trained with multinational tech industry experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Tally and Oracle NetSuite.
- In-depth understanding of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and other tax laws is essential.
- Good knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- You are motivated by working across teams and different areas.
- You are hands-on, analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
