  • Our India finance operations is a function within the MSI Finance Operations Center primarily located in Penang and India. The MSI Finance Operations Center is recognized as a trusted partner to customers, suppliers, and employees, providing excellent service and quality support across Asia Pacific operations. Our department supports a wide range of Motorola Solutions R&D and business operations within the finance functions

Job Description

As our Finance Manager, you will be a strategic team member responsible for structuring and overseeing the accounting, controlling and reporting function for our India. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the local accounting and Tax operations for our entities in India.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Indian accounting department, including managing. working with various different functions including, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll functions and other related functions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure all accounting records align with our internal financial classification, accounting policies, and primarily with US GAAP and local India GAAP.

  • Work with our tax team and advisors to properly align tax strategies in the accounting function.

  • Work with our consultants for direct and indirect India taxes.

  • Work with our auditors for the completion of the audit process and ensure compliance with all local requirements and reporting..

  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and ensure the company's practices align with industry best practices.

  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Identify and assess accounting risks, proposing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Responsible for leading  the finance team in our India operations. 


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with more than 5 years of experience leading the accounting and Tax Area for Indian companies. Chartered Accountant in India is preferred.
  • Extensive experience +5 years in accounting management, treasury, tax and controlling, with a focus on the software industry, fast growth companies and Local Gaap.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance of Indian principles is a MUST.
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian Taxes and statutory requirements is a MUST.
  • Experience in company incorporations and setting up accounting and tax operations as a new company in India BIG PLUS.
  • Experience working with third party accounting, Tax partners and Audit readiness BIG PLUS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Oracle, is a MUST
  • Fluency in written and spoken English MUST.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent and able to work with different teams and stakeholders in accross the globe.
