We are seeking a Global Trade Compliance Specialist with strategic mindset, to join our Bucharest team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving global compliance initiatives and optimizing business processes. As part of Global Category Management and Trade Compliance team you'll work closely with the Category Team and key stakeholders across various Business Lines to ensure our activities align with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help us navigate complex compliance landscapes and drive initiatives that make a real impact. This position offers the exciting opportunity to travel globally, engage with diverse teams, and make a significant impact on our global trade compliance strategy.
Your responsibilities

Global Incoterms Policy: Update and implement recommendations to streamline our global Incoterms Policy.

Risk Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of non-compliance issues and define risks for each preferred Incoterm, tailored to different Business Lines, Inbound, Outbound, Intercompany, and Country-specific scenarios.

Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism: Collaborate with key stakeholders to map and develop CBAM business processes and coordinate reporting within our EU entities.

HS Code Management: Work with stakeholders to map, document, and implement global standardized procedures related to HS Code Management.

Training Programs: Coordinate the development of training programs for employees on regulations and best practices.

Geopolitical Awareness: Stay informed about geopolitical tensions and their potential impacts on FLSmidth.

Packaging Strategy: Assess current activities and maturity within our packaging category, develop a roadmap for improvements, and drive global packaging sourcing and optimization initiatives.

Travel: Embrace the opportunity to travel globally, approximately 25 days per year, to engage with our teams and stakeholders around the world.
