Airbus is looking for a Group Manager leading the AI and Automation Solutions, to join the Bangalore, India location. 

This role will be part of the Digital function and is responsible for the Intelligent Automation and Operation, creating a robust, automated, and resilient ecosystem for all our AI services.

The successful candidate shall establish team goals by evaluating, identifying & understanding the business strategy and technical trends as well. He/she shall accomplish the team results/performance by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching and leading the team in the right direction.

Qualification & Experience 

  • Graduate/Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience in AI, Analytics, Automation & Software Engineering

  • Proficiency in Product Management, Service Delivery Management, Project Management, and Leadership and driving improvement processes

  • Significant experience dedicated to Automation (UiPath), AI/ML-powered products, with a deep understanding of machine learning concepts, models, and development cycles 

  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (S3, EC2, SageMaker, etc.) and GCP (Vertex, Gemini LLM etc.) 

  • Understanding the ethical considerations of AI, including fairness, accountability, transparency (XAI - Explainable AI), privacy, and security

  • Awareness of relevant regulations and compliance standards for AI products

  • Ability to work and communicate in a multicultural environment

  • Risk based approach, creative and Innovative thinking

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present them to stakeholders management

  • Team Player and collaborative mind-set

  • Past experience in Team Management

  • Knowledge of French is a plus

Responsibilities :

  • Hold the full responsibility to lead AI & Automation teams in right direction to achieve the success 

  • Define the product strategy, give the objectives & design the Service roadmap

  • Establish and lead the service management process for all production AI systems, acting as the primary point of contact for critical operational issues.

  • Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for AI services.

  • Strong passion for technology, modern platform mind-set and solving customer problems 

  • Guides and supports the selection of the appropriate technologies and/or methodologies.

  • Able to make recommendations for buy versus make decisions.

  • Manage resource capabilities and assignment (Airbus India internal resources and In situ Supplier) 

  • Drives the update of the learning framework based on the known technology.

  • Advises on specific topics related to the technology and/or methodology.

  • Monitors technology and/or methodology trends and supports the teams to apply these within the Airbus Environment.

  • Manage and lead the team on day to day operational basis and drive continuous process improvement

  • Lead the team using a performance management and development process with the right training program.

  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when it’s required.

  • Work with Human Resources Team to interview and recruit right team based on the business need

  • Coach, mentor, provide oversight and direction to the team in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures

  • Develop the team to take the delegation and empower them to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
