Joist AI is the premier content enablement and revenue operations platform built specifically for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. We work with top-tier architectural and engineering firms, ENR-ranked contractors, and global engineering consultancies to help their teams deliver winning proposals with greater speed, precision, and consistency at an enterprise scale. Founded in 2021 and backed by SignalFire and Building Ventures, Joist AI has achieved strong year-over-year revenue growth. We are hiring to expand our Enterprise team as we modernize how the AEC industry operates.
About the RoleWe’re seeking a GTM Engineer to join Joist AI and own the technical foundation of our go-to-market systems. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Sales, CS, Marketing, and Engineering to build and maintain the tooling, integrations, automations, dashboards, and reporting that power our revenue engine.
You’ll be hands-on in systems like HubSpot, connecting internal services, building data pipelines, and BI reports, while also exploring AI agents and automation to reduce manual work across the GTM org. This is a highly cross-functional, technical role.
What you’ll doOwn GTM integrations and automation across HubSpot and internal systems (for example: HubSpot ↔ Gong ↔ Attio), ensuring reliable data flow and clean system behavior.
Build and maintain RevOps tooling: workflows, lead routing, enrichment, lifecycle stages, handoffs, notifications, and automated follow-ups.
Create reporting and dashboards for GTM leadership and operators: funnel, pipeline, conversion, activity, forecasting inputs, cohort/adoption, and post-hoc analyses.
Develop custom reporting in tools like Superset, including operational dashboards and ad-hoc analysis for investigations and build custom apps using streamlit.
Design data hygiene + governance: field standards, deduping, naming conventions, and audit mechanisms to keep CRM and downstream analytics trustworthy.
Prototype and productionize AI-enabled workflows (agents, assistants, automation) that improve GTM throughput and reduce repetitive work.
Collaborate with engineering on architecture decisions, integration patterns, observability, and security best practices for GTM systems.
Support light business development operations as needed (tooling for outreach, account research automation, enablement workflows, etc.).
3+ years of experience in a technical GTM/RevOps, SalesOps engineering, solutions engineering, or systems/integrations role (startup experience a plus).
Strong working knowledge of HubSpot (objects, workflows, properties, lifecycle, reporting) and comfort operating as a power user/admin.
Experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, middleware, and/or iPaaS tools (Zapier/Make/n8n/Workato, etc.).
Experience with analytics and dashboarding (Tableau and/or similar BI tools), and comfort with funnel/pipeline metrics.
Familiarity with data fundamentals (schemas, ETL/ELT concepts, dedupe, source of truth, event vs. object modeling).
Strong ownership mindset: you can take a messy process, make it measurable, and automate it end-to-end.
Clear communication skills and comfort working across Sales, Marketing, CS, and Engineering.
You can write code (Python/TypeScript ) to build lightweight services, integrations, scripts, and internal tooling.
You’ve built revenue data pipelines (warehouse + BI), or implemented attribution, enrichment, or product usage → CRM syncs.
You’ve built AI agents / agentic workflows for prospecting, research, meeting prep, follow-ups, CRM updates, or internal support.
You’ve worked in B2B SaaS with longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders, and you care about operational rigor.
You love experimenting and can balance speed with reliability.
We conduct a rigorous interview process based on integrity, talent, and drive. We trust our teammates from day one and move quickly to evaluate your fit for the role. The entire interview process typically takes two weeks. Here’s what to expect:
A 30 minute Zoom meeting to talk about Joist AI, your background, and answer any questions about the role.
A 30 minute Zoom meeting with another team member to go deeper on your experience and how you’d approach the role.
A take-home project to assess your functional expertise (automation, integrations, and reporting).
A 60 minute Zoom call to review your project and answer any outstanding questions.
