Manager: People Operations


Job Summary:

The Manager – HR, Recruitment & Learning & Development will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development functions across India and the Philippines. The role will ensure alignment of people practice with business objectives while driving employee engagement, talent growth, compliance, and workforce planning across both geographies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources

        Manage and oversee day-to-day HR operations for India and Philippines entities.

        Ensure compliance with local labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies in both countries.

        Drive employee engagement initiatives, retention programs, and culture-building activities.

        Support performance management processes including goal setting, appraisals, feedback, and development planning.

        Handle employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

        Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices across locations.

        Monitor employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits.

        Partner with leadership teams on workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.

        Analyze HR metrics and provide management reports and insights.

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

        Lead end-to-end recruitment activities for technical, non-technical, and leadership positions across India and the Philippines.

        Develop recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent while optimizing hiring costs and timelines.

        Manage recruitment teams, external vendors, staffing partners, and job portals.

        Collaborate with business leaders to understand hiring requirements and workforce needs.

        Monitor recruitment KPIs including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance ratio, and quality of hire.

        Build employer branding initiatives to enhance talent attraction and candidate experience.

        Ensure compliance with hiring policies and recruitment governance standards.

Learning & Development

        Develop and implement learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives.

        Identify skill gaps and training requirements through regular assessments and discussions with business leaders.

        Design and coordinate technical, functional, leadership, compliance, and behavioral training programs.

        Manage onboarding and induction programs for new employees.

        Measure training effectiveness and monitor learning outcomes through assessments and feedback mechanisms.

        Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

        Manage training budgets, learning platforms, certifications, and external training partners.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

        Lead and mentor HR, Recruitment, and L&D teams across multiple locations.

        Partner with business leaders and department heads to align people strategies with organizational goals.

        Support business expansion, workforce planning, and organizational change initiatives.

        Ensure consistent employee experience while accommodating local market and regulatory requirements.



Required Qualifications

        Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

        12+ years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development functions.

        Experience managing multi-country HR operations, preferably India and the Philippines.

        Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations in India and the Philippines.

        Experience in IT, ITES, Healthcare, BPO, or Shared Services environments is preferred.


Preferred Skills

        Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

        Data-driven decision making and HR analytics.

        Exposure to global delivery centers or shared services environments.

        Experience managing employee engagement and culture transformation initiatives.

        Certification in HR, Talent Management, or Learning & Development would be an advantage.
