About Team: 
 

We are seeking a passionate and creative Sr Site Reliability Engineer to join the Transaction Systems Data Intelligence Platform Team at Walmart Global Technology, Bengaluru. Our Transactional System (Payment, Settementm, checkout GRR )provides core transactional capabilities enabling segment and technology partners to create seamless omni-channel experiences with speed and efficiency.

As part of a highly motivated group of engineers, you will work within an agile team to solve complex and high-impact problems. You will apply your up-to-date expertise to deploy execute , moniting the P0 services working on production dashboards , and improve action plans by providing expert advice and guidance, supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Your role will involve implementing business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, and executing necessary processes and practices. You will monitor progress and results, recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities, and adapt to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

You will model compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting Walmart's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. This will include incorporating these principles into business plans, using the Open Door Policy, and demonstrating and assisting others in applying these standards to business processes and practices.

What you'll do:

Roles and responsibilities in 4 to 5 bullet points

• Good experience with Java and OOPS concepts in understanding the underlying systemdesign and microservices.
• Good Experience in writing complex splunk/ distributed logging toots queries for pulling statistical data and reports and setting up dashboards and alerts.
• Monitering production and lower engiveimrnt taffic, any issue reported on production prepare RCA and detailed documentation.
• Good Experience troubleshooting production application issues by scanning through available loggings/metrics and TCP captures for network issues. Good Experience with various SQL concepts for writing DML/DDL scripts and querying based on complex joins.
• Production and stage deployments for DB, Applications , Cert revewal .
• Experience working with Cloud architectures such as GCP or MS-Azure for integrating, managing application during migration activities. DevOps Experience is a nice addition to have.

Collaboration:

• Synergize with Cross-Functional Teams: Engage in collaborative efforts with fellow associates and coordinate with managers and specialists across various functions as required.
• Conduct Rigorous Code and Peer Reviews: Participate in meticulous code reviews and peer assessments to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Deliver Insightful Presentations: Articulate findings to team members, business units, clients, and other stakeholders to garner valuable feedback and drive informed decisions.

What you'll bring:

Desired qualifications (no mention of additional educational qualifications)

• Experience with retail -ecom transaction System( Paymments, Store Promotions, Checkout ).
• Experience with sales tax engines/platforms.
• Experience with CQRS and Event streaming architectures is a plus.
• Experience with cryptography/ key management.
• Experience in building/implementing high performance & a scalable system.
• Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code.
