Your Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and advising on our compliance and financial reporting,

  • Managing, maintaining, and optimizing our existing tax structure and intercompany pricing framework,

  • Managing and supporting acquisition, divestiture and restructuring business teams, e.g., due diligence, acquisition, and divestiture planning, managing planning execution and subsequent integration, etc.,

  • Identifying and managing our exposure areas both on a pre and post audit basis,

  • Liaise with the India government agencies on all tax related issues; including audits, negotiating tax incentives, planning future investments, etc.,

  • Assisting in the implementation of global Aptiv tax initiatives,

  • Monitoring and measuring the US GAAP effective tax rate of Aptiv India operations,

Your Background

Preference given to candidates with demonstrable experience:

  • Managing the practical relationship between income tax planning and India cash management, GST, business tax, foreign exchange, Customs and Duties compliance,

  • Showing management skills and technical skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to force themselves into the mix in a tactful way,

  • Dealing with the challenges inherent in integrating operations with historically different corporate and cultural environments.

  • Strong organizational skill to ensure ability to prioritize workload and manage a number of projects at any one time.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines for tax compliance and audit defense needs.

And to candidates with  

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in India tax with Big 4 CPA firms or multi-national companies.

  • Solid experience in India tax, with some knowledge of EU / US international tax and US GAAP knowledge desirable.

  • Proficient research via online resources.

  • Proficient accounting skills and familiarity with excel, Baan and outlook soft are strong pluses.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and highly results driven
