What you’ll achieve
As a Integration Architect you will be part of our highly successful Development team, utilizing your skills in the development and enhancement of our market leading software applications for the hospital and healthcare environment.
Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.
You will:

Design and develop integration solutions to connect various enterprise systems, applications, and data sources.

Define and implement integration architecture and best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
-
Develop and maintain integration patterns, frameworks, and reusable components.
-
Ensure the integration architecture aligns with the overall enterprise architecture and IT strategy.

Manage the implementation of integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Additionally, they will be conversant with hospital systems integration, healthcare integration standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM), information coding systems and technologies (e.g. integration engines).

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as an Integration Architect or similar role in a complex enterprise environment.

Analyse functional and non-functional requirements across a diverse set of business and technology scenarios.

Strong proficiency in integration technologies and tools such as ESB, API gateways, message brokers, and ETL.
-
Exposure with cloud-based integration platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
-
Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, as well as other integration protocols.

Knowledge of data modelling, data mapping, and transformation techniques.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
-
Ability to explain complex technology topics in easy-to-understand terms. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on integration-related matters.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to integration standards and best practices.

Monitor and troubleshoot integration solutions, resolving any issues that arise.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in integration and middleware solutions.
Desirable Requirements

Certification in integration or middleware technologies (e.g., Viaduct, Rhapsody).

Knowledge with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git).

Knowledge of security best practices for integration solutions.
