Job Summary
The Key Account Manager – Marine Support is responsible for managing and executing marine service support activities, customer relationship management, and project coordination to ensure seamless delivery of service solutions to key customers. The role partners with internal stakeholders, channel partners, and customers to execute projects, support marine contracts, manage service events, and ensure successful installation and commissioning activities for marine applications. The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, improving service capability, and ensuring adherence to service delivery commitments and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute marine service events in line with the Service Delivery Process to ensure seamless customer support for key marine customers, including defense organizations and strategic accounts.
- Lead and coordinate projects of varying complexity from initiation to completion, including project planning, scope definition, timeline management, milestone tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and business teams to define project objectives, establish deliverables, and ensure successful project execution.
- Manage marine solution contract execution in collaboration with solution teams, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLA) and timely submission of MIS reports to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with marine customers, naval commands, shipyards, and key stakeholders to ensure proactive communication and seamless support.
- Conduct regular customer engagement activities, meetings, and maintain documentation such as meeting records and action trackers to strengthen service delivery and relationship management.
- Work closely with channel partners and internal stakeholders to build marine service capability and enhance technical readiness at source locations.
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of marine engines in partnership with project teams across shipbuilding and marine customer locations.
- Identify, monitor, and resolve project risks, issues, and resource requirements to ensure timely completion and successful execution.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and project status while maintaining documentation, records, and communication with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Guide, support, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project success, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline from a recognized university.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
- MBA or project management exposure will be an added advantage.
- May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations, where applicable.

Experience
- Intermediate level relevant work experience with exposure to project coordination, customer management, service support, or marine operations required.
- Experience in marine, defense, industrial equipment, engines, power systems, service operations, or related sectors preferred.
- Prior experience managing customer relationships, service contracts, project execution, or commissioning activities is desirable.
- Experience working with shipyards, marine customers, defense customers, or channel partners will be an added advantage.
- Team leadership or stakeholder coordination experience preferred.
Qualifications
Experience:
Service Event Management – Need to manage the service events pertaining to Marine segment as per Service Delivery Process and seamless support to Key Customer like Defence – Navy, Coast Guard for entire southern division.
Solution Contract Support Management – Marine contract to be executed along with solution team as per SLA and submit the MIS report to all stakeholders.
Customer Relationship Management - Develop relationship with all Naval command’s and shipyards under south and ensure the MOM with Naval officers according to the schedules for seamless support.
Building the Capability – Need to work with Channel partners and stakeholder to develop a Marine based capability in the source.
Installation & Commissioning – Work with project team and execute the new engine installation and commissioning at various Ship-buildings like L&T, GRSE, CSL, etc.
