The Technology Operational Excellence function has been set up to support the realisation of Maersk’s strategic ambitions and to improve the stability, reliability & resilience of Maersk’s critical services. The Lead Technical Program Manager will be part of this function.
As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical infrastructure and operational improvement projects are delivered on time and in the most efficient manner possible. This role involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary technical projects using engineering expertise. The Lead Technical Program Manager will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
The role requires managing and explaining the team's analyses and recommendations to executives as well as discussing technical trade-offs with engineers. Using extensive technical and project management expertise, the Lead Technical Program Manager will manage projects of various sizes and scopes, identify future opportunities, improve processes, and drive the technical directions of programs.

1. Key Responsibilities:

Manage complex infrastructure and technology operational improvements, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery

Work on key initiatives through collaboration with platforms, driving value realization and reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, and key improvements to senior stakeholders

Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs

Drive measurable project performance gains correlated to execution velocity. Establish governance over prioritization decisions to ensure alignment with key performance indicators

Drive continuous optimization of the IT organization in terms of reliability, performance and cost.
2. Required Experience:
-
Experience in managing and delivering technical solutions with a product mindset involves not just focusing on the technology, but also on aligning solutions with the overall business objectives, user needs, and long-term product vision.

Experience in managing multi-team, multi-disciplinary, multi-country, and/or time zone projects
-
Ability to collaborate and deliver solutions in an always-changing environment, work through ambiguity, get detailed solutions, identify a path forward, and lead initiatives over the finish line

Ability to use data to create impactful business cases/presentations

Good understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development teams, familiarity with JIRA or other issue and project-tracking software

Ability to lead cross-functionally and influence without authority across a diverse set of stakeholders (leadership, engineering teams, product owners, etc.).

Ability to manage multiple requests and work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
