A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Linux Admin L2 at MKS Instruments, you will partner with the IT Infrastructure Organization to provide Operations support activities. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Incident Response based on SLA requirements
- 100% Adherence to Change control guidelines
- Customer Service-Exceptional level
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and software applications
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Work closely with other IT teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions for Linux servers (back-up team, app teams etc.)
- Travel Requirements: Up to zero % of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
- Years of job-related work experience
- 5 years of Red Hat, AWS Linux, Ubuntu
- VMWare, Hypervisor
- Experience supporting Linux servers with Oracle and SAP installed on them is a plus
- Knowledge of virtualization environments a plus
- Bash Scripting is a positive for automation tasks is a plus
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Excellent problem-solving
- Excellent communications skills
