Logistics specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Specialist to join our Service Procurement organization. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects related to the delivery of equipment for complex orders of various sizes, working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, thereby providing on time delivery and a high service level to our valued customers around the globe.

Our Logistics Department is an international team with colleagues stationed in Denmark and India. This team comprises 9 employees, boasting a broad age range. The Logistics team operates under the Service Procurement organization, in close collaboration with the purchasing team. Together, ensuring efficient purchasing and shipping of machinery and equipment.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate shipments within contractual timelines.
  • Negotiate and procure freight services from 3PLs.
  • Support sales in matters related to commercial terms of transport and logistics, including freight budget calculations.
  • Compile and arrange all export documentation for shipments, as per letter of credit or equivalent requirements.
  • Ensure all logistical matters are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Order Handling department, Sales Department, banks, 3PLs, various terminals, and suppliers.

What you bring

  • A relevant background in international transport and export documentation.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with international shipping (export and cross-trade).
  • Knowledge of Letter of Credit/UCP600 documentation and rules is advantageous.
  • Experience of working with international industrial clients is advantageous.
  • Exceptional team player- and strong coordination skills and a commercial mindset.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English is required.
