This role will be working with the Maconomy ERP testing team, which is responsible for managing the implementation and usage of our technical test tools, as well as supporting technical testing approaches within the wider QA, Test & Release team. You will provide technical as well as best practice support for all areas of test automation to the business.
Reporting to the Maconomy ERP – Test and Release Manager within the Global QA Hub.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead Test Automation Efforts: Develop and implement automated testing strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
- Test Automation Framework Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of reusable and scalable test automation frameworks using tools and technologies such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of test automation engineers, providing guidance, training, and support in best practices and automation techniques.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure that automation solutions align with the overall software development lifecycle.
- Test Planning & Execution: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and automated scripts, and ensure effective test execution and reporting of test results.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes for enhancing the test automation pipeline, improving productivity, and reducing test cycle times.
- Quality Metrics & Reporting: Provide regular status reports on automation progress, key metrics, and test results to stakeholders. Identify and track automation defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Integration with CI/CD Pipeline: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated tests are run as part of the regular build and deployment process.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation scripts, tools, and test environments.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of automation frameworks, scripts, and test procedures.
What you'll need:
- Proven Experience of maintaining Test Automation frameworks for multi-systems and programmes (e.g. Desktop, Web, Mobile, Integrations, etc…)
- Experience with integration interfaces testing and tooling
- Experience with DevOps frameworks and processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in ERP automation in both HCM and Finance domain
