Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assists in the development and meeting of departmental budget.

Skill set needed
- Over 12+ years of experience in the software engineering domain
- Proficient in Java with deep expertise in the Spring Boot framework
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture
- Extensive experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, along with related virtualization technologies
- Practical experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and Concourse CI
- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management
- Solid working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
- Familiar with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of and experience with atleast one database such as MySQL, SQL Server, Couchbase, MongoDB, or Redis
- Well-versed in Git and familiar with platforms like GitLab and GitHub
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash and Python
- Experience in leading a team of software developers

- Effectively communicate and collaborate within the team and with stakeholders.
- Lead the triages for prod support with the team and involve stakeholders as needed.
- Be adaptable and available to support flexible work hours when required, including during critical deployments or incident response.
- Practice continuous learning and improvement for ongoing skill development and career growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
