The position is for a Manager, Data Science in the ELM AI & Data Science team, who will lead AI & ML Ops for AI products including model maintenance and new client onboardings. You will oversee the deployment, performance, and continuous optimization of AI systems while nurturing a high-performing team of engineers, analysts, and AI specialists. You will act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that AI solutions are effectively aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of AI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring team capabilities evolve with industry trends.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI and ML models in production.
- Develop processes and frameworks to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of AI systems.
- Establish robust incident management and troubleshooting protocols to address system issues efficiently.
Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, infrastructure, product, data science, and business units) to define and prioritize AI use cases and roadmaps.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure delivery of impactful AI solutions.
- Communicate AI system performance, ROI, and updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Innovation & Compliance:
- Stay informed about emerging AI technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Drive adoption of automation and AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in AI/ML operations, data engineering, or similar roles.
- 3+ years of people management experience in a technical environment.
- Proven track record in leading AI/ML system deployments and managing their lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, AI/ML tools, and DevOps principles.
