The Manager Electrical oversees maintenance operations, ensures equipment reliability, compliance with regulations, budgeting, and leads the engineering team to achieve business objectives while emphasizing safety and customer satisfaction.

- Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe working behaviour of the maintenance team and all contractors on the site. The primary focus of the role is the delivery of planned engineering maintenance activities across Electrical, Control & Instrumentation and regulatory compliant asset, also managing all shutdown planning activities.
- Responsible for managing safe working behaviour of the Maintenance team and third-party contractors, sustaining a zero-overdue status of investigations and actions.
- Good working knowledge of engineering ERPs and ensuring the ERL process is fully followed and ensure data accuracy
- Monitoring and adopting engineering standards and procedure published by Global/Regional engineering.
- Preparing Engineering budgets. Controlling equipment repair and maintenance cost.
- Ensure all planned regulatory and statutory compliance tasks are completed on or before their due dates, and accurate maintenance records are maintained in the site.
- Ensure proper utilization of Engineering ERP. Update the history of breakdowns and modifications done if any. Preparation of monthly reports. To co-ordinate with Engg. planner ensure that the smooth closing of job orders.
- Adhere to Engineering Global KPI. Adopt equipment Reliability framework.
- Establishing and maintaining proper SOP and RA for electrical engineering activities.
- Oversee day to day electrical activities with a strong focus on conducting the activities in a safe manner as per DPW guidelines.
- Manage the maintenance engineering team to deliver the site objectives and grow the business, ensuring we always deliver internal customer satisfaction.
- Ensure & innovate Energy saving projects
- Electrical Inventory planning and maintenance of equipment.
- Monitor electrical spares procurement and usage maintain critical spares, consumption pattern and reliability. Prepare & follow-up for Purchase Requisition (PR).
- Maintaining proper records on maintenance, inventory, consumption etc.
- Ensuring the equipment’s hired for operations in BU are maintained in good condition and are in reliable condition for regular operations.
- Ensure Safety Engagement Program is implemented in all equipment - owned and hired.
- Ensure safety checks are carried out in all equipment – owned and hired.
- Maintaining documents and manuals of all equipment.
- Issuance of work permits.
- Substation: Preventive and routine Maintenance of Substation equipment.
- Verification of Electricity bills.
- Routine inspection and checks of all facilities like Emergency Generators, Administration Building lift, Office lights, Street lights, High mast.
- Should possess reasonable working /managing knowledge & skill to look at mechanical and other engineering disciplines
- Attending to audit and other action points to ensure closures within targeted time frame
- Good working knowledge of engineering ERPs and ensuring the ERP process is fully followed and ensure data accuracy
- Liaising with related authorities and maintaining records.
Legal & Statutory -
- Strictly follow statutory compliance and Global engineering Policy.
- Contribute for the reduction of the waste generation & maintaining record as per statutory requirement.
Educational, Technical Qualifications, Required Skills
- B.E / B. Tech/ Diploma - Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant sector.
- Ability to handle crisis and emergencies.
- Up-to-date with latest technology.
- A very good and fast learner
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to write in a clear, concise, and relevant reader friendly style.
- Be able to work independently in a multi-cultural environment with strong awareness of formal and informal organizational structures.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, time management, excellent team building capabilities, planning, co-ordination, and decision-making skills.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
