Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Expand and manage a robust network of tier-1 nurseries and contract growers to secure competitive bulk pricing and reduce supply risks.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead high-value contract negotiations for optimal pricing, flexible payment terms, and reliable delivery timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Set and enforce strict pre-dispatch inspection standards covering plant health, height, root development, and appearance.
- Logistics & Dispatch: Oversee complex, multi-location transit schedules and specialized packing protocols to minimize transit damage and ensure on-time delivery to Bangalore project sites.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Bangalore Operations, Logistics, and Fulfilment Centres (FF) to sync order execution, manage inventory shortages, and track market trends.
Requirements
- Experience: 5–8+ years in commercial horticulture procurement, agriculture supply chain, or large-scale nursery management.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Network: Strong established relationships with growers in the Kadiyam and Muchisha regions.
- Skills: Elite vendor management, sharp commercial negotiation, and experience managing complex logistics.
