Job Description:

We’re looking for a Manager, Product Marketing to serve as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor within our fast-growing global marketing team. This role will lead product marketing for one of our core product lines while also managing and developing a teamProduct Marketing Managers based in India.

As a player-coach, you’ll set the standard for product marketing excellence — driving go-to-market (GTM) strategy, messaging, and launches for your assigned product line, while mentoring and guiding your team to deliver impactful work across the product portfolio. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Product Marketing and the U.S.-based PMM team to ensure alignment, consistency, and best practices across all markets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of at least two Product Marketing Managers in India, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with autonomous product teams — both as an individual contributor and as a manager — to ensure tight alignment between Product Marketing and Product Management on positioning, messaging, roadmap, and go-to-market priorities.

  • Ensure the India PMM team delivers high-quality work that supports global product marketing priorities and business outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Product Marketing to maintain consistent standards and processes globally.

Individual Contribution (Player-Coach Role)

  • Own product marketing strategy for one of OpenGov’s product lines — developing positioning, messaging, and launch plans that drive adoption and market differentiation.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, and Demand Generation to translate product capabilities into compelling value propositions.

  • Lead strategic go-to-market initiatives for new products, features, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive research to shape strategy and inform product direction.

  • Create and deliver impactful sales enablement materials, training programs, and marketing content that empower GTM teams.

Strategic Impact

  • Drive collaboration between the India PMM team and global stakeholders to ensure integrated GTM execution.

  • Contribute and align to product marketing best practices.

  • Measure and report the impact of product marketing initiatives on roadmap, pipeline, win rates, and revenue growth.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of total experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS.

  • At least 2 years in people management, with experience leading and mentoring other marketers.

  • Proven success balancing individual contribution and team leadership in a high-growth, cross-functional environment.

  • Exemplary product marketing skills — able to craft differentiated messaging, lead GTM strategy, and deliver measurable impact.

  • Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.

  • Data-driven, problem-solving, big-picture mindset with experience using market insights to guide strategic decisions.

  • Collaborative leader who builds trust across time zones and cultures.

  • High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required;

  • Master’s degree in business preferred.

Additional Details
  • Location: Pune, India

  • Reporting To: Director, Product Marketing (U.S.). Must be willing to take calls during U.S. hours.
