We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Sales at Chennai to join our Sales team on a full-time basis.

Responsibility:

  •  Sales : Should be Capable to handle Business in all 3 Major Channels like OEM/Distributor & End User. To generate Enquiry / Tender (Proprietary / Non- Proprietary) from both Private and Public Sector customers, prepare & submit Techno Commercial Proposals/Quote (Budgetary / Firm), participate in the Techno Commercial Negotiations and close the order in favor of the company. Thereby ensure that the given Budget for the Year is achieved both in Order Booking and Sales.
  • Business Development: Identifying New Partners/Prospects/Involve in signing Partnerships accords/Involve fully in Lead Generation from identified OEM Segment ( from Construction, Agriculture, Medical, Industrial, E Bikes etc)/Initiating Opportunities / NPD( interaction between Customer & VPG R&D Team) / Supplying Samples and winning volume orders.
  • Ensure that Market share of the Company, both in terms of Sales Value and the Volume of Products sold is sustained and grown further as per the Annual Targets set by the management
  • Handle all the technical and commercial requirement of the Dealers as well as direct customers in the assigned territory. Ensure that the AR is kept under control with more than 90% of Due AR & 100% of the Overdue AR collected in time.
  • Ensure that Vendor Approval at all Major consultants and Customers identified, are obtained which shall help in participating in the various projects in the region and outside the region.
  • Keeping track of the competitor activities in the region on a periodic basis and inform accordingly. Also coordinate with the H.O on the project pursuits happening in the whole country.

Essential Competencies:

  •  Knowledge about South India India market .
  •  Proficiency in Hindi language is must .
  • Exceptional Problem solving skills .
  • Marketing and Industry insight
  • Customer Relationship Management

Technical Competencies:

  •        Salesforce knowledge 
  •      Experience in ERP environment (SAP, Oracle, QAD)
  •    Excellent Excel skills

Good to have Competencies

·       Weighing and Automation field Product knowledge .








Requirements

Academic/Professional Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Relevant Experience

  • 10 years in relevant field shall be preferred  
  • Candidate should have 15 years experience in handling major Accounts in Southern Region with good professional Contacts and Connections.
  • Handling exports should be added advantage particularly Middle East and India neighboring countries
  • Past Experience of Integration with PLC would be an edge.

Technical Skills/Knowledge : Proficient in all MS Office applications / ERP
