033112 Master Data Specialist (Open)Job Description:
Greif has an exciting opportunity for a Master Data Specialist to join our global team, playing a critical role in ensuring the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of master data in LN to support seamless business operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for creation, maintenance and integrity of data in ERP systems related to all business partners, items and reference tables.
- Facilitate the workflow process in the ERP system, working directly with the internal customers (plant, sales, procurement, corporate departments) to get requests input into system appropriately and ensure workflow process is followed
- Review of requests for new or modified business partners to ensure they are in line with Sourcing or Commercial strategy
- Review of requests for new or modified items to ensure coding and classification is in line with item standards and governorship.
- Train the relevant parties on the workflow process for creation and changes of Master Data.
- Interact with internal customers, Greif locations, Sourcing, Sales and AP & AR colleagues
- Initiate and participate in projects or actions to improve the overall performance quality of Master Data handling
- Contribute to the success of the ERP implementation project as requested
- Ensure that all company controls are met
- Assistance to other departments as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma (intermediate) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred such as B.A and B.Com.
- 1-2 years’ experience in business process
- Knowledge of AR or AP processes preferred
- Experience with master data management is an advantage
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of computers and related business software programs.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements is an advantage.
