Job Posting Title: Software Engineering - Specialist (.NET Core/SQL/Azure)

What does a successful Software Engineering – Specialist do ?

This position requires working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Scrum Teams, and stakeholders to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications and APIs. The role involves building scalable cloud-native solutions using Microsoft technologies, Azure services, and modern DevOps practices while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and SQL Server.
• Build and support cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services such as AKS, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure SQL Database, Key Vault, App Configuration, and related Azure components.
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Harness to enable automated deployments and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and support Windows Services and backend processing applications.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and technical solutioning.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks using Confluence.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming sessions.
• Work with global teams across multiple time zones to deliver business-critical solutions.

What you will need to have:

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in software development using Microsoft technologies.
• Education: BE/BTech/MCA/MTech/BSc – Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in .NET Core, C# and Web API development.
• Proven experience with Azure services including AKS, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure SQL, Key Vault, App Configuration, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and supporting Windows Services and backend processing applications.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab repositories, branching strategies, merge requests, and CI/CD implementation.
• Experience with Harness deployment pipelines and release management processes.
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, API Security, OAuth/JWT Authentication, and Integration Patterns.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams across India, US, APAC, and Europe

What would be great to have: (Optional – subjective preferred qualifications if applicable.)

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, and enterprise data integration solutions.
• Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Python development and automation frameworks.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies, Generative AI, Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or related AI platforms.
• Azure Certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Payments, Deposits, Lending, or FinTech domains.
• Knowledge of security best practices, application monitoring, and production support processes.
• Understanding of Fiserv products and platforms would be an added advantage.
