You will work alongside a dedicated team of network engineers, security specialists, and service desk professionals committed to delivering seamless operations and superior service.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Internal Teams and External Partners: Coordinate directly with Level 2 and Level 3 engineering teams, Information Technology (IT) service desk personnel, key stakeholders, and multiple original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and network service providers (such as Cisco, Fortinet, Tata Communications Limited [TCL], Jio, and Airtel) to manage major escalations, drive project deliverables, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

  • Ensure Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Perform rigorous system and security audits, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensure alignment with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) disciplines (Incident, Problem, and Change Management), and uphold all project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in data center network operations, firewall implementation, and team leadership within a 24/7 environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of network protocols (Multiprotocol Label Switching [MPLS], Border Gateway Protocol [BGP], Open Shortest Path First [OSPF]), firewall architectures (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, SonicWall, Sophos, Palo Alto), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Load Balancers, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

  • Proven ability in stakeholder communication, vendor management, team leadership, project coordination, and incident escalation handling.

  • Relevant industry certification or formal education in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., ITIL certification or vendor-specific network security credentials).

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
