The Role

 We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to support critical Treasury and Liquidity Management applications for a Banking client. The primary focus of this role is the operational support, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the Planixs Realiti platform, with secondary responsibility for supporting Corona applications and related treasury ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Planixs Realiti in production environments, ensuring system availability, incident resolution, operational stability, and business continuity. The role requires close collaboration with Treasury Operations, Liquidity Management teams, Infrastructure teams, Application Development teams, and external vendors to deliver reliable and efficient support services for business-critical banking applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 operational support for the Planixs Realiti platform and associated treasury applications.
  • Monitor application health, system performance, interfaces, batch jobs, and data processing activities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Support day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Realiti platform.
  • Perform incident management, problem management, and service request fulfillment in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support Corona application operations, including monitoring, issue resolution, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Execute and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes, including end-of-day and start-of-day activities.
  • Support liquidity management and treasury business users by resolving application-related issues and operational queries.
  • Coordinate application deployments, releases, patches, upgrades, and production changes.
  • Perform system validation and post-deployment verification following releases and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor application interfaces, data feeds, file transfers, and integration processes between Realiti, Corona, and other banking systems.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and support reconciliation activities across treasury and liquidity management processes.
  • Maintain operational procedures, support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, business continuity exercises, and resilience initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and security teams to ensure platform stability.
  • Support audit, compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to treasury systems.
  • Participate in on-call support and production support rotations as required.
  • Contribute to operational excellence initiatives through automation, monitoring enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Provide regular operational reporting, service metrics, and system health updates to stakeholders.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in application operations, production support, or application support roles within banking or financial services environments.

  • Hands-on experience supporting the Planixs Realiti liquidity management platform in a production environment.

  • Working knowledge of Temenos Corona applications and treasury-related banking systems.

  • Strong understanding of Treasury Operations, Liquidity Management, Cash Management, and Banking Operations processes.

  • Experience supporting mission-critical applications with stringent availability and performance requirements.

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Request Management.

  • Experience monitoring application performance, interfaces, batch jobs, and operational processes.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line operations.

  • Working knowledge of Sybase and database concepts for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting application integrations, file transfers, APIs, and middleware platforms.

  • Understanding of production release management, deployment processes, and environment management.

  • Experience working with application monitoring and alerting tools.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of banking treasury products, liquidity management concepts, and cash positioning processes.

  • Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience practices.

  • Ability to work effectively with business users, application teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors.

  • Experience supporting European banking clients or regulated financial institutions is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call support and extended support coverage when required.
