The Operations Manager will lead daily transportation operations, manage P&L, engage with clients and stakeholders, and drive process improvements in India.
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible operations leader to manage and scale transportation operations in India. The ideal candidate will bring data-driven decision-making and hands-on ground expertise to deliver operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and business growth. While FTL experience is a plus, we welcome candidates with relevant experience in mobility, logistics, or transportation operations who have consistently driven KPIs and efficiency improvements.Key Responsibilities
What you will deliver
Operations & Ground Leadership
- Lead daily operations in the assigned region, ensuring service excellence and quick resolution of ground-level challenges.
- Manage, coach, and build a high-performing operations team.
- Collaborate with partners, drivers, and stakeholders for seamless execution.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to monitor ground operations and engage stakeholders.
P&L Ownership & Performance Management
- Own and manage the P&L for assigned accounts, balancing revenue growth and cost efficiency.
- Define, monitor, and improve key metrics (on-time performance, utilization, cost per trip, etc.).
- Apply data-driven insights to optimize operations and resource allocation.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on long-term trust and retention.
- Serve as the escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally (Sales, Finance, Technology, Compliance) to align on business outcomes.
Strategy, Expansion & Process Excellence
- Contribute to India-wide expansion strategy, identifying opportunities in new markets.
- Lead process improvement and standardization initiatives for efficiency and scalability.
- Provide operational insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous innovation.
Leadership Contribution
- Be an active contributor to the India leadership team.
- Balance strategic priorities with on-the-ground execution.
- Drive a culture of agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- 5+ years of experience managing operations in transportation, mobility, or logistics with proven results in KPI/metrics-driven performance.
- Strong P&L management and operational leadership experience.
- Data-driven mindset with practical ground-level understanding.
- Flexible, dynamic leader with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
