The Planning Engineer is responsible for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, monitoring progress, and communicating with teams to ensure project completion and adherence to timelines.

- * Proficiency in managing and overseeing projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to ensure timely and successful completion.
- * Strong analytical abilities to assess complex project data, identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and propose effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
- * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on project objectives and timelines.
- Sound knowledge and expertise in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, to efficiently create, manage, and update project schedules.
- A keen eye for detail to meticulously monitor project plans, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaborative relationships, and ensuring alignment between planning, execution, and project objectives.
- Develop mitigation plans to address any possible delays or issues that may affect the project timeline
- Daily monitoring of work and report any occurrences, which might create a delay or variation in the specified work.
- Track project workflow from initiation to delivery and record variances on a log book.
- Coordinate and communicate between teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and to customers.
- Identify potential project risks related to schedule, resources, Lad external factors.
- Participate in preparing variation orders and time extension claims.
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure their availability as per the project's needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of department objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor Of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience
- 2-3 years experience working in a steel fabrication company
- 3 years experience working on planning tools preferably Primavera P6 or MS projects
