As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our GX platform. Your expertise in C/C++, L2/L3 protocols, and debugging tools will be leveraged to create complex features and manage product updates. Responsibilities
- Develop and debug complex features using C/C++, L2/L3 protocols, and debugging tools, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Plan and manage technical requirements, including SW/HW build releases and product updates, gaining hands-on experience in release management.
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing hardware/software solutions tailored to customer needs, broadening your skills in system design and customization.
- Deepen your understanding of kernel Networking VRF, general networking, and socket programming, with a focus on IPV4/IPV6 and L2/L3 routing, to enhance network architecture.
- Collaborate with various vendors to integrate SoC architecture, learning to troubleshoot and optimize third-party solutions, and contribute to the seamless integration of optical technologies.
- Support the integration of optical technologies, expanding your skillset and adding value to your knowledge of networking and telecom systems.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless integration of software components.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of software implementations, identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optical networking technologies and industry trends, contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform.
- Document and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge transfer and easy access to information for future reference.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 12-15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Expertise in kernel internals, general networking, and socket programming, with a strong understanding of L2/L3 protocols and VLAN/OSPP/GRE/RSTP/TCP/IP.
- Previous work experience in the IP networking or telecom field is essential, with a proven track record in developing and supporting networking solutions.
- Must have experience working with vendor ASICs like Broadcom, Marvel, or MicroChip, demonstrating expertise in integrating and optimizing these technologies.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills, system understanding, and debugging abilities are required to develop and troubleshoot complex features.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize activities to achieve project milestones efficiently.
- Familiarity with Docker, JIRA, bit-bucket, and confluence is advantageous, as these tools are commonly used in our development environment.
- Experience in chassis-based router/switches and an understanding of different SoC architectures (32-bit, 64-bit) are highly desirable.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, along with a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, is essential for this role.
- Exposure to AI tool like GHC , cursor etc .
