The Product Engineer will act as an SME for ALM and FTP products, collaborating to enhance solutions and ensure functional accuracy while staying current with regulations.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for FTP and/or ALM product components within the treasury and risk solution landscape.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and Clients to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs.
- Lead or support the configuration, customization, and enhancement of ALM or FTP modules (e.g., behavioral modeling, liquidity risk analysis, interest rate simulation).
- Design and optimize calculation engines for transfer pricing, liquidity cost allocation, and balance sheet metrics.
- Participate in platform integration with upstream and downstream systems, ensuring accurate data mapping and financial consistency.
- Work closely with QA and business teams to validate functional accuracy and performance of implemented solutions.
- Support UAT, issue resolution, product documentation, and user training.
- Stay current on regulatory changes (e.g., Basel III/IV, IRRBB) and best practices in ALM and FTP.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in implementing or supporting FTP or ALM solutions in a banking or financial software environment.
- Hands-on experience with one or more ALM/FTP platforms such as:
- Moody’s RiskConfidence™
- QRM
- Oracle FTP
- Wolters Kluwer OneSumX
- Sopra Banking / Finastra
Strong understanding of interest rate risk, behavioral modeling, liquidity management, and profitability analysis.
Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and financial calculation logic.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
