About Hexnode
Hexnode is a global leader in Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), trusted by over 100 countries and managing millions of devices worldwide. With a rapid pace of innovation, we have established ourselves as a dominant force across Apple, Windows, Android, macOS, Linux, and tvOS. Fuelling the transformation to a seamless ecosystem of connected tools, Hexnode is revolutionizing the enterprise software and cybersecurity landscape.
Role Overview
Hexnode is looking for a Technical Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of OS-level capabilities and scalable software architecture. You won't just be managing a "roadmap"—you will be the architect of the technical logic that powers our UEM and Security modules. Your mission is to translate complex OS protocols (Apple MDM, Android Management API, Windows CSPs) into seamless, high-performance product workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Workflow Architecture: Design the underlying logic and state machines for complex features like zero-touch enrollment, remote tunneling, and automated patch sequencing. You are responsible for the "if-this-then-that" logic, not the button colors.
- OS Framework Research: Conduct deep-root analysis of OS updates (macOS, Windows, Android, iOS, Linux, visionOS). You must be able to read developer documentation and determine how new system APIs can be leveraged to solve enterprise problems.
- Technical Spec Ownership: Write highly detailed functional specifications. Your documents should define API contracts, data schemas, error-handling logic, and end-user use cases (the “whys”) so clearly that Engineering has zero ambiguity during implementation.
- Feasibility & Scoping: Serve as the "Technical Truth." Work with Engineering to evaluate the trade-offs between different implementation paths, ensuring the solution is scalable and performant.
- System Integrity: Identify edge cases in cross-platform workflows. You need to anticipate how a policy change on a Windows 10 device might behave differently than on Windows 11 and build the logic to handle it.
- Competitive Technical Analysis: Move beyond "feature checklists." Evaluate competitors based on their technical implementation, API coverage, and agent architecture to ensure Hexnode’s technical superiority.
Requirements
- Experience: 4-6 years in Product Management within the B2B SaaS, Cybersecurity, or Systems Management space.
- Technical Literacy: You must be comfortable reading API documentation (REST, SOAP), understanding JSON/XML structures, and grasping how agents/daemons interact with an OS.
- Logical Rigor: Proven ability to map out complex, multi-step technical workflows. You should be able to explain the lifecycle of a packet or a command from the server to the endpoint.
- Problem Solving: A "First Principles" thinker. You don’t just want to know what a feature does; you want to know how the OS executes it.
- Communication: The ability to translate "Engineering-speak" into clear functional requirements for stakeholders, and vice versa.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience in a technical role).
What this role is NOT:
- It is NOT a UI/UX role: While we value clarity, your focus is the logic behind the dashboard, not the pixels on it.
- It is NOT a "People Manager" or Scrum Master role: You won't just be moving JIRA tickets or "coordinating." You are expected to contribute deep technical value to the product's core logic.
- It is NOT high-level strategy only: We need a "builder" mindset. You will spend more time in technical docs than in slide decks.
