Qualifications 

We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in software testing, either manual or automated testing, or a mix of it. The important here is that he/she has a history of dedicated software testing work.

The candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering.

Fluent in English, both in speaking and writing since good communication is crucial for this position.

The candidate must be willing to work fully in the Chennai office or in hybrid mode, fully remote is not acceptable for this position.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for quality and who pays a lot of attention to the small details in our products. To have the understanding that a small change can make a big difference in the user experience is a critical thing.

Having a methodical and analytical approach to be able to perform the testing in an organized manner is critical to be successful in this position.

Having an agile mindset is a must and the candidate should always strive for progressive changes and be focused on continuous improvement. The candidate should be able to handle change, both when it comes to change in the product but also organizational changes.

 

The development teams are spread all over the world with colleagues in UK, Romania, Netherlands, USA and India. Due to this, it is important to be open to cultural differences and be good at communication. As a software tester, you are very often raising issues and problems in the software, and to be able to keep a good relationship with the rest of the team it is crucial to address these issues professionally.

 

Skills Required:

  • Domain knowledge in electrical designs in buildings is very meritorious. Gained either from previous professional roles or learned at university.

  • Knowledge of test automation methodologies, both for desktop applications, web, and REST API

  • Experience in API testing tools like Hoppscotch, Postman, Insomnia, JMeter, RestSharp

  • Experience in UI automation tools like Ranorex, TestComplete, Selenium

  • Experience in CAD/BIM products like AutoCAD and Revit

  • Professional experience in Jira and Jira test cycles

  • Basic knowledge of agile methodologies and workflows

  • Basic knowledge of software product development and its workflows
