The Quality Engineer will focus on improving product quality standards, ensuring compliance with specifications, and facilitating quality improvements using various quality tools. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams for root cause analysis, conducting audits, and developing preventive initiatives to meet quality metrics.
Primary Job Purpose:
- Develop, implement and improve the product quality by ensuring product specifications are met.
- Ensure compliance with customers’ specific requirements, industrial and in-house standards and procedures
- Facilitate quality improvement by providing technical guidance on Quality tools applications (Six sigma, 8D)
- Monitor First Time Quality and drive improvements in the Plant
- To lead & Coordinate with CFT team for effective root causes analysis and corrective actions within given timeline for inhouse rejections and customer complaints
- Perform system and or process audit to ensure quality system compliance as per IATF standards.
- To monitor & coordinate with team and outside lab for timely calibration of equipment’s as per plan.
- Develop and implement preventive quality initiatives to achieve Quality key metrics of inhouse & customer quality target.
- Lead Material Review Board meeting on disposition of non-conforming material and drive for actions to resolve non-conforming case.
- Periodical review & update the Control plan, PFMEA & Lesson Learns.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Engineering/Physics/Material Science.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance field. Semiconductor or automotive electronics manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge & Experience in SMT, WAVE, P2P, Selective Soldering process quality
- Experience in application of quality engineering tools, Six sigma, quality system implementation (IATF 16949/ ISO 9000), ESD & IPC latest standards.
- Knowledge on Automotive Core tools and ISO26262
- Experience in Statistics/Reliability prediction/ Other Data Mining techniques
- Good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
