As the Regional Operations Manager- South - Road Freight, provide end-to-end leadership for the South region, owning full P&L accountability while integrating sales, operations, and key account management to deliver sustainable growth, margin expansion, service excellence, and long-term customer value. Own and steward the regional P&L, with full accountability for revenue growth, gross profit, margin expansion, and budget achievement.
Provide integrated leadership across Sales, Operations, and KAM, ensuring alignment between commercial ambition, operational capability, and customer commitments.
Drive profitable growth for the South region, translating national strategy into regional priorities, execution discipline, and measurable outcomes.
Set the commercial agenda for the region, strengthening new business acquisition, strategic account growth, and long-term customer partnerships.
Ensure operational excellence and service reliability, balancing cost efficiency, capacity optimisation, safety, and scalability across the regional network.
Champion customer profitability and value creation, ensuring key accounts are managed with strong governance, margin discipline, and service consistency.
Build, lead, and succession-plan high-performing regional leadership teams, embedding ownership, accountability, and execution rigor.
Establish strong governance on performance management, including regular reviews of financials, sales pipelines, operational KPIs, and risk.
Strengthen the regional ecosystem and external relationships, including key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
Enable long-term regional scalability and transformation, supporting network expansion, capability upgrades, and change initiatives aligned to business growth.
What You Bring:
What skills & experience you will bring to us:
18+ years of experience in road freight / logistics / transportation, with end-to-end regional leadership exposure
Proven track record of full P&L ownership at regional or business-unit level
Strong experience spanning sales leadership, operations management, and key account governance
Deep understanding of FTL economics, margin management, and network operations
Experience leading large, multi-location and multi-function teams
Ability to operate effectively with CXO stakeholders and large enterprise customers
Graduate degree required; MBA or equivalent leadership qualification preferred
