  • If you’re looking for a new challenge, where you can play a key role in preventing potential risks to our customers, this could be the ideal role for you
  • You’ll work in partnership with the first line of defence and businesses in implementing our Venues Operating Model, maintaining the banks venues inventory, and risk managing our continued venue relationships
  • By liaising closely with a range of stakeholders, you'll be at the forefront of protecting the bank against unauthorised trading and market abuse risk relating to the banks trading activities on external venue platforms
  • We're offering this role at associate vice president level
What you'll do

You’ll play a key role in delivering risk management initiatives that support the effective application of the venues management framework and conduct risk obligations, with an opportunity to improve the understanding and effective management of risk related to venue change and ongoing maintenance of our venue relationships .

You’ll support the business in managing the risks which exist, making sure mechanisms are in place to design, test and embed new processes to mitigate risk within a defined risk appetite, to ensure continued compliance with venue and regulator obligations .

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Developing and interrogating the analysis of relevant management information, supporting effective detective unauthorised trading and market abuse risk management
  • Acting as primary point of contact and front door for engagement between the bank and its venue relationships, engaging with senior leaders to co-ordinate the banks response and readiness to venue changes
  • Maintaining venue rules across ~170 trading venues, ensuring continued compliance, and engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure rule changes are considered and mitigated.
  • Building and maintaining trusted working partnerships across the organisation and franchises, to inform and gather intelligence on emerging and future venue related risks and controls
The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate knowledge of how a large financial services organisation operates the financial products traded and risk management practices deployed along with a strong risk mindset, comfortable in identifying and challenging risk scenarios

You’ll also bring:

  • A clear track record of achievement and change delivery to meet demanding deadlines
  • Knowledge of front to back system architecture and broad industry knowledge of trading routes to market
  • Strong technical capabilities working with and interrogating data, able to explore innovative techniques to maximise business value.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to influence at all levels
