Role Summary
The Safety Support Assistant provides
essential on-ground logistical and operational assistance, maintaining
equipment inventory, supporting emergency drills, and assisting with routine
shop-floor safety checks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Mandatory
Qualifications: Passed 12th Standard (Higher Secondary).
- Mandatory
Communication Skills: Basic reading and writing communication skills in English and Tamil
(proficiency in additional regional languages is a plus).
- Mandatory
Experience: Freshers with strong organizational capabilities or 1–2 years of
experience in shop-floor support, store-keeping, or basic safety/warehouse
assistance.
- Preferred
Experience: Previous exposure to industrial store handling, basic fire extinguisher
usage, or EHS support roles.
- Primary
Skills: PPE
storage and inventory management, material handling, basic safety
equipment log-keeping, clear verbal communication.
- Secondary
Skills: Event
coordination for mock drills, basic hazard reporting, vendor delivery

Key Responsibilities
- Manage
the issuance, receiving, cleaning, and organized storage of Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) and high-voltage safety kits.
- Maintain
up-to-date physical registers and logbooks for safety gear maintenance,
inspection schedules, and inventory re-order levels.
- Provide
ground support during emergency evacuation drills, fire safety
demonstrations, and safety training sessions.
- Assist
safety managers during routine shop-floor inspections by documenting basic
physical hazards or housekeeping issues.
- Coordinate
receipt and placement of vendor deliveries for safety equipment and
emergency suppression tools.
