Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify
and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling,
referrals, digital platforms and customer visits.
- Generate
qualified leads within manufacturing, warehousing and logistics
industries.
- Build
and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Develop
relationships with decision-makers including Plant Heads, Production
Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Operations Managers and Supply Chain
teams.
Sales & Customer
Engagement
- Understand
customer manufacturing processes and operational challenges.
- Recommend
suitable Pick-to-Light, Industrial IoT and Smart Factory solutions.
- Conduct
product presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Prepare
techno-commercial proposals in coordination with internal teams.
- Follow
up consistently to convert opportunities into orders.
- Negotiate
commercial terms within approved guidelines.
Account Management
- Build
long-term relationships with customers.
- Identify
opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling.
- Maintain
regular engagement with existing customers to understand future
requirements.
- Ensure
high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Sales Planning &
Reporting
- Achieve
assigned sales targets and business objectives.
- Maintain
accurate opportunity and customer information in the CRM system.
- Prepare
weekly sales reports, forecasts and visit plans.
- Monitor
competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
Cross-functional
Coordination
- Work
closely with Application Engineering, Product Management, Project
Execution and Customer Support teams.
- Coordinate
customer demonstrations, proof-of-concepts and pilot installations.
- Support
smooth project handover after order confirmation.
Market Development
- Participate
in trade fairs, industry exhibitions, seminars and customer events.
- Build
awareness of MELSS’ Industrial IoT and Smart Factory solutions.
- Stay
updated with developments in smart manufacturing and industrial technologies
Requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 2-4
years of experience in B2B technical sales, industrial products or
business development.
- Fresh
engineering graduates with strong communication skills and a passion for
technical sales may also be considered.
- Experience
selling Industrial Automation, Sensors, Electrical Products,
Instrumentation, Industrial Networking, Software Solutions or Industrial
IoT products is preferred.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc,
BE or B.Tech (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics,
Mechanical, Automation or related disciplines).
- Diploma
holders with relevant industrial sales experience may also be considered.
