SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

You will be responsible for driving and managing protective sales activities within your designated region, promoting key segment products through Jotun’s proven sales tools and techniques. In this role, you will build strong customer relationships, identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver value-driven product and service solutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving targeted sales growth, maximizing gross margins, improving DSO, and strengthening Jotun’s overall market share.
This position will report to the Sales Head and will be based at Chennai.

Responsibilities:

    • ​Identify and develop new business opportunities by targeting potential customers in the local market to grow market share and profitability.
    • Promote and sell segment-specific products within assigned territories through regular customer visits, relationship building, and continuous market intelligence gathering.
    • Drive project follow‑ups by coordinating with project teams to ensure Jotun products are specified, applied, and contribute to achieving sales budgets.
    • Resolve customer concerns by troubleshooting issues promptly and escalating when required to maintain high service standards.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries, strong customer service, and alignment with company goals while monitoring collections to meet DSO targets.
    • Lead and support sales teams by setting clear targets, coaching, and monitoring performance in line with The Penguin Spirit to enhance overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience We Look For:

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field.

  • Experience: Min 5 years of sales experience in protective coating sales and team handling.
