This Position reports to:
Sales Support SpecialistIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Measurement and Analytics Division for Bangalore / Pune / Chennai.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and commercial support to the local sales team and customers by identifying the most suitable, technically compliant, and cost-effective solutions. Participate in customer discussions, technical clarifications, and project meetings to address complex requirements and support business growth.
- Prepare and support the development of detailed technical and commercial proposals in line with customer specifications, business unit guidelines, and factory/sales directives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams during bid preparation and actively contribute to project kick-off meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
- Analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitor offerings to recommend optimized solutions and improve proposal competitiveness. Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to align offerings with customer expectations and business objectives.
- Conduct post-bid and lost proposal analysis to identify gaps, pricing challenges, technical deviations, or competitive factors affecting outcomes. Recommend corrective and preventive actions in coordination with sales and business units to enhance future win rates and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors to ensure timely technical support, effective communication, and successful delivery of proposals/projects.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, quality requirements, and industry regulations while delivering proposals and technical solutions within committed timelines
Qualification for the role :
- Strong expertise in field instrumentation for measurement and monitoring of flow, level, pressure, and temperature across industrial applications.
- Ability to independently handle end-to-end techno commercial offering, including product selection, configuration, and development of optimized instrumentation packages.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing technical and commercial proposals, including costing, full-cost model calculations, margin optimization, and bid documentation.
- Strong knowledge of international standards such as ISA, API, ANSI/ASME, ISO, IEC, and PIP, ensuring full technical and regulatory compliance in all deliverables.
- Experience in managing bid and proposal activities for medium to high-complexity projects, including EPC and international tenders, with involvement in bid strategy and value engineering.
- Strong understanding of industrial processes across Power Plants, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Metals & Mining, and Pulp & Paper sectors, with ability to translate process needs into instrumentation solutions.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce for opportunity management, reporting, forecasting, and bid pipeline tracking to support sales effectiveness.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors, internal engineering, procurement, and sales teams, while providing technical support, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in sales support, bid management, proposals within instrumentation domain.
