Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Salesforce Lead/Architect to spearhead the design, development, and governance of our internal Salesforce Sales Cloud platform. As a product-based company, your primary focus will be on leveraging the Salesforce platform to optimize internal sales processes, drive efficiency, and scale our Go-to-Market (GTM) capabilities. This role requires a blend of deep technical architecture expertise, hands-on leadership, and strong business acumen.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Design Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end technical and solution architecture for our internal Salesforce platform, with a strong emphasis on Sales Cloud.

  • Define and align the Salesforce roadmap with the product company's strategic goals and growth plans.

  • Design scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions utilizing standard features, custom development, and external integrations.

  • Oversee data modeling, data migration, and data governance strategies to ensure internal data integrity and quality.

Technical Execution & Governance
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce best practices, coding standards, governance models, and release management/DevOps processes (e.g., CI/CD, Copado/Gearset).

  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex design and development challenges.

  • Manage and architect integrations between Salesforce Sales Cloud and other critical enterprise systems (ERP, Marketing Automation, proprietary systems).

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure solutions are maintainable and performant.

Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales leadership, Operations, IT) to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and manage expectations.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business leaders.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of Salesforce developers, administrators, and business analysts.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 3+ years in an Architect or Lead capacity.

  • Deep, proven expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud functionality, configuration, and custom development.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flows/Process Automation.

  • Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events).

  • Thorough understanding of the Salesforce security model, sharing, and visibility mechanisms.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and managing the full Salesforce development lifecycle.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or demonstrable progress toward the Technical Architect certification).

  • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant.

  • Experience working for a Product-Based Company and managing an internal Salesforce instance.

  • Familiarity with other Salesforce Clouds (Service, CPQ, Experience Cloud) is a plus.
