SAP MM/WM (Material Management & Warehouse Management) Lead
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP MM/WM Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Material Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules, along with extensive experience in end-to-end implementation projects within the Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sectors. The role involves designing, configuring, and managing SAP MM/WM processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing effective solutions to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration and Implementation:
- Build the organizational structure for material management, including valuation areas, plants, purchase organizations, and storage locations.
- Define and finalize material and purchasing groups, payment terms, pricing procedures, and Incoterms.
- Configure pricing procedures by defining access sequences and condition types.
- Establish a taxation structure and validate number ranges for vendor and material master records.
- Implement split valuation based on various criteria such as grade, source, and country of origin.
- Build the organizational structure for material management, including valuation areas, plants, purchase organizations, and storage locations.
Procure-to-Pay Cycle:
- Configure procurement processes, release procedures for purchase documents, and stock transport orders.
- Set up the complete Procure-to-Pay cycle, including service orders.
- Prepare documentation for testing and validation.

Master Data Management:
- Create master data templates for vendor master, material master, Info-records, GST, purchase orders, and source lists.
- Develop alternate sources of supply for raw materials and conduct vendor evaluations.

Warehouse Management (WM):
- If applicable, leverage 3 years of Warehouse Management experience to optimize material handling, purchase, procurement, replenishment strategies, and more.
- Configure warehouse structures, storage types, bins, TR/TO, placement and removal strategies, batch management, and delivery processes.
- Work on WM integration with SD Deliveries, Shipping, and transportation.
- If applicable, leverage 3 years of Warehouse Management experience to optimize material handling, purchase, procurement, replenishment strategies, and more.
Integration and Consultation:
- Test integration with other SAP modules such as SD, PP, PM, QM, and FI/CO.
- Provide consulting services on both new implementations and ongoing support projects.
- Identify gaps, issues, and propose effective solutions.

Business Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives to develop necessary product modifications.
- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements, validate and document customer requirements.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and system enhancements.

- Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
- Prepare user manuals and impart training to business process owners.
- Act as a liaison between business functions and technical teams.

Qualifications and Skills:
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/MBA with 5 to 7 years of SAP MM/WM experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 end-to-end SAP implementation experiences in the Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sectors.
- Strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP MM and WM modules.
- In-depth understanding of organization structure, pricing procedures, release procedures, and taxation setup.
- Proficiency in master data management and vendor evaluation.
- Knowledge of split valuation, LIFO/FIFO, batch management, consignment stock, and pipeline material.
- Ability to test integration with SD, PP, PM, QM, and FI/CO modules.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address business process gaps.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, the ability to work self-directed, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Experience in warehouse management processes is a plus.
