Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile project teams in delivering high-quality solutions. This role is integral in applying agile methodology values, principles, and practices to manage and deliver projects effectively. The Associate Specialist Scrum Master will mentor and support scrum teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and facilitating collaboration between clients and delivery teams to achieve project success.
Software Requirements
Required Software Skills:
- Proficiency in JIRA for project tracking and management.
- Experience with Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
Preferred Software Skills:
- Familiarity with other agile project management tools and software development technologies.
Overall Responsibilities
- Utilize agile methodologies to plan, manage, and deliver projects in line with business goals.
- Train, mentor, and support scrum teams to adhere to agile values, principles, and practices.
- Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
- Manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor progress and performance, helping teams to make improvements.
- Plan and organize demos and product/system testing.
- Ensure proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments for the scrum team.
- Conduct accurate capacity planning and guide the team to increase productivity.
- Track project processes and deliverables, preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to prioritize business value.
- Assist in refining backlogs and ensuring a steady stream of work for the team.
- Act as a liaison between clients and delivery teams to ensure project success.
- Participate in project estimation sessions with technical and business stakeholders.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Essential: Agile methodologies, including Scrum practices.
- Preferred: Knowledge of additional project management frameworks.
Programming Languages & Databases:
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of software development and data management tools.
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development with hands-on experience as a Scrum Master.
- Demonstrated ability to lead agile teams and manage complex projects.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings and participate in project planning sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Lead and mentor scrum teams, ensuring adherence to agile practices.
- Monitor project progress and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between clients and delivery teams to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must have Agile certification, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
