The opportunity

To build You as a Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
 

How you’ll make an impact

• Provide technical support for tendering & Execution of Customer projects, preparation of Secondary drawings & Bill of Quantities for Engineered items of Gas insulated Switchgears LCC.

• Prepare specifications, check supplier’s offers & co-ordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement of materials, equipment & Services for LCCs.

• Prepare interlocks, MIMIC, AC DC Load calculation. Prepare the Control schematic drawings in E-3 for GIS bays.

• Attend discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions.

• Helping apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design questions.

•  Review of deliverables before submission to client.

• Participate in customer meetings as required and active participation in project review meeting.

• Active project contribution to reduce the lead time and cost of the LCC solution by developing a solution as per project technical requirements.

• Adhere to the detailed project plan to meet on time delivery and to ensure quality of deliverable as top priority.

• To focus on optimized solutions with benefit to customers and Hitachi Energy.

• Interface with Primary, steel and application engineers on systems / solutions part from Hitachi Energy companies.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Engineering /Diploma in Electrical.

• 1– 3 Years of experience with design.

• Preferable experience in E3, SAP & MS office.

• Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc.

• Knowledge of high voltage gas insulated switchgear (66kv and above).

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
