Role Overview:
As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large and complex data sets, identifying key patterns and trends, and providing actionable insights that support marketing, sales, and strategic decision-making. This role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with large volumes of data to identify, interpret, and analyze business trends.
Develop reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights to support marketing and sales strategies.
Apply statistical methods and mathematical concepts to generate accurate analysis.
Leverage advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Access) for data management and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate insights effectively.
Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Access).
Familiarity with research/segmentation tools such as Nielsen, Claritas, MRI/Simmons, Mosaic/PRIZM/Personicx Segmentation, ArcGIS, BCC, or similar (preferred).
Experience handling large data sets; knowledge of SQL is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with independent judgment and self-direction.
Highly detail-oriented and organized; strong ability to spot trends.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking ability, with the skill to uncover stories within data and shape them into marketing/sales strategies.
