Job Summary:
Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure efficient operation of the function. Responsible for directing and executing day-to-day operations. Oversees delivery of services or functions of the group in accordance with organizational objectives. Recommend and implement operational improvements. Participates in annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the IT team responsible for the Workday application, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Workday platform to align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging Workday to improve business processes.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday-related projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support for the Workday application, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated on the latest Workday features and best practices to ensure the platform is utilized to its full potential.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the Workday application.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for system use and data management.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Team Development:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Mandatory Skills
- Be able to work with the business team to document business requirements.
- Can analyze requirements to come up with design options by assessing impact on associated up-stream and down-stream systems, tools and processes.
- Work with the business and internal WD team to help decide on the optimal design.
- Be able to independently work on configuring/building the design in the system.
- Document design and build specifications.
- Can come up with the testing scenarios and requirements for testing.
- Have about 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in implementing Workday as a core WD expert in a global setup.
- Can work as a ‘go to’ in-house expert for providing technical solution to the HR team globally.
- A strategic thinker to:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging Workday to improve business processes
- Be an innovator to promote process automation using WD and non-WD tools.
- Drive AI solution by working with WD vendor or internal AI team.
- Some experience on managing the delivery would be a plus
- Be a mentor to help team advance their technical skills.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
- Have contributed on WD community is desirable skill.
Preferred Skills:
- Workday certification(s).
- Experience with Workday integrations and reporting.
- Knowledge of HR processes and systems.
