About the role
The Senior Associate, Corporate Development provides mid-level input, support and leadership in all aspects of executing the Corporate Development mandate, including:
- Leading and executing targeted merger and acquisition activity
- Screening and appraising growth opportunities
- Looking at new ways to drive overall business performance.
- Oversight of more junior team members
- Greater deal management responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
- Execution of selected mergers and acquisitions.
- Create and refine valuation models for acquisitions, divestments and new business initiatives.
- Help plan and execute due diligence.
- Carriage of transaction administration and project management.
- Negotiation of diverse transactions and associated documentation.
- Prepare management and board papers and presentations covering acquisitions, divestments and new business initiatives.
- Plan and execute the integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Undertake specific projects to support senior management.
- Ensure AGL pursues the best available opportunities assessed on strategic fit, value creation and risk.
- Assess opportunities that align with AGL’s strategy.
- Undertake valuation and risk assessment as appropriate.
- Prepare investment proposals.
- Assist business units in implementing selected growth opportunities.
What you'll bring
- Undergraduate and/or post graduate qualification in finance related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years M&A (or investments) and Project Finance experience.
- Experiences with complex negotiation & legal matters (highly desired).
