This role requires strong healthcare domain expertise, excellent stakeholder management, and hands-on experience with Salesforce and Athenahealth platforms.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational workflows, and product requirements.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder discussions, workshops, and discovery sessions.
- Translate complex business requirements into user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Act as a key liaison across business stakeholders, Salesforce teams, and internal product and development teams to ensure alignment on requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Collaborate with Salesforce and Athenahealth teams to understand existing workflows, integrations, data requirements, and system dependencies.
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and potential blockers, proactively driving discussions toward resolution.
- Partner with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, Software Engineers, and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirement clarification.
- Define business scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and take ownership of follow-ups and action items.
You’re a perfect match if you have:
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software or digital product development.
- Strong domain expertise in Healthcare, with a deep understanding of US healthcare workflows and operational processes.
- Hands-on experience working with Salesforce, including workflows, integrations, business processes, and data flows.
- Hands-on experience working with Athenahealth (or similar EHR/EMR platforms).
- Proven track record in requirements gathering, documentation, and creating deliverables such as User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, BRDs, and Process Flow diagrams.
- Solid understanding of enterprise system integrations, APIs, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Practical experience working within an Agile/Scrum product development environment
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Salesforce developers, Engineers, QA, and UX/UI designers).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a strong ability to manage ambiguity, track dependencies, and work effectively in remote environments.
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting the development or enhancement of specialized healthcare technology platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR
- Hands-on experience with healthcare system integrations and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency using Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Experience working across distributed or global cross-functional teams.
