We are looking for a motivated Big Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Hadoop and AWS EMR and be proficient in Python. This role will focus on developing and maintaining our data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and integration. If you have strong SQL skills and a passion for working with big data technologies, we would love to hear from you.

Information Security Responsibilities

• Awareness on information security measures such as acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, password security
• Understand and report security risks and how they impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand how data is stored, processed, or transmitted from a Data privacy and protection standpoint

Responsibilities

• · Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Hadoop and EMR.
• · Implement data processing tasks using Python.
• · Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.
• · Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and processing.
• · Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• · Experience with Hadoop and EMR.
• · Proficiency in Python.
• · Strong SQL skills.
• · Familiarity with Kafka is a plus.
• · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• · Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and improving existing systems.
