About the Team  

Our innovative Research and Devlopment team is at the forefront of revolutionizing Home Medical Equipment (HME), Durable Medical Equipment (DME), out-of-hospital care, and home health services. Leveraging cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, we aim to enhance patient outcomes, streamline caregiver workflows, and drive efficiency across the continuum of care.

About You  

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and delivering scalable AI powered solutions that address the unique challenges of HME/DME and home health services. You will lead efforts to design, develop, and implement advanced models and algorithms, leveraging your expertise in machine learning, and healthcare-specific applications. Your leadership and technical skills will contribute to creating impactful solutions that improve patient care and caregiver operations.

Responsibilities  

- Conduct research, development, and customization of advanced statistical and ML algorithms to solve complex problems in HME/DME and home health settings.  

- Write production grade code with proper unit test coverage

- Develop statistical and machine learning algorithms tailored to meet complex product requirements. Your responsibilities will include formulating hypotheses, conducting rigorous tests and experiments, and evaluating, fine-tuning, and optimizing algorithms. Always maintain a focus on ease of implementation, scalability, and robustness to ensure seamless performance in a live environment.

- Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for tasks such as natural language understanding, content generation, workflow automation and domain-specific applications.

- Lead and guide junior data scientists, ensuring adherence to best practices for scientific rigor, code scalability, and reproducibility.  

- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to uncover actionable insights for chronic disease management, predictive risk assessment, and caregiver efficiency.  

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and healthcare experts, to deploy models into production and monitor performance using our cloud-based ML platform.  

- Thoroughly and diligently document the model design, experiments, tests, validations, and live metrics and outcomes. You may be asked to write documents for use in the preparation of intellectual property and technical publications.

- Drive innovation by integrating the latest AI/ML advancements into scalable and impactful solutions for home health care.

Qualifications and Experience  

- Ability to follow industry standards in Object Oriented Programming software development   

- 6+ years of experience in Data Science, with significant expertise in healthcare, home health, or related fields.  

- Master or PhD in Data Science/Machine Learning or closely related areas such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, and Biomedical Informatics.

- Strong foundation in machine learning, data mining methods, and statistical modeling.  

- Proven experience in leading end-to-end ML workflows, including data exploration, model development, deployment, and monitoring.  

- Proficiency in Python programming and hands-on experience implementing scalable AI solutions.  

- Expertise in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, SageMaker, S3).  

- Experience with large-scale data systems such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive, and relational databases like SQL.  
-Good understanding of Test-Driven Development

- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and challenges, such as data privacy and compliance.  

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
